I started this business in 2009 as a side gig to get myself through some challenging financial times. At the time I was working as a Mortgage Loan Officer for a local bank in Burlington. I realized quickly I was not cut out for that kind of work. I needed more people interaction and less paper interaction!

While working literal “bankers hours” I started Sparkle Cleaning Company working nights and weekends. I was soon able to quit the bank and cleaned full-time. It was working, and it was successful!

I was then given an amazing opportunity in the world of oil/lubricants. I thought I was very successful there too, but I became so focused on achieving academic and professional goals that I was failing in my personal life. I spent over ten years in the corporate world and never once really felt as though what I was doing ever really created space for joy or made a difference in the lives of others. I was lost.

I ended up in a relapse with alcohol. I had been sober for 20 years, and the relapse lasted four. As a result of my inability to healthily cope with life and all of life’s “stuff”, I sacrificed personal and professional relationships, including the relationship with myself and my higher power. I had lost sight of what’s truly important in life.

My last drink was on 6/28/2019.

I live a different life today. My relationships matter more than anything else in the world. I live each day one at a time and at the end of each one I want to know that I’ve made a positive difference in the lives of others that day.

Today, I love what I do. I love my job, I love the people I get to work for and the people I get to work with. My life is filled with love and purpose! Thank you for allowing me the honor and opportunity to make a difference in your family’s home and life.
